Narita Airport Terminal 3

If only every airport was this beautifully designed or ingenious. Airport terminals are often the least inspired part of the travel experience. The Narita International Airport new terminal 3 excels in some of my favorite areas. The minimalist architecture coupled with the hyper-functionality of the way finding and environmental signage creates an interesting and engaging space like none I have seen before. The design for this project was a collaborative undertaking by architecture firm Nikken Sekkei, design agency Party, and the Muji furniture division.
