The Conception of “Just Do It”

“Just Do It” to this day remains one of the greatest and most iconic tag lines. It was conceived in 1988 by Wieden & Kennedy and immediately became more than a piece of marketing copy. The words became a rallying cry, a motivational statement. In addition to catapulting Nike lightyears ahead of the competition “Just Do It” helped to define a generation of more active and athletically involved people. If you haven’t already seen the Art & Copy documentary it is phenomenal film and covers at greater depth this campaign and many other greats.
